One of the things I love most is a beautiful atmosphere

Whether it is preparing my home to host guests, or having a good conversation in a coffee shop, I love noticing all the elements that make a space warm and inviting. I’ve learned that candles and fragrance are a crucial part of what makes an atmosphere welcoming. But I wanted the cozy ambiance of candles burning without so many of the typical harmful ingredients.

Like so many of us, my journey to a cleaner home began when I was young.

I grew up using many non-toxic cleaning products and began using cleaner versions of self-care products after becoming sensitive to big brand bath and body products. As I established a home of my own, those same priorities carried with me. I found that certain candles began to give me headaches, and I sought out cleaner alternatives.

I started getting hand poured candles from a friend, but after moving from the East to the Pacific Northwest, I developed an interest in making my own.

I originally planned to learn in order to host a candle pouring night for friends,

but started first with making gifts for loved ones and candles for my own home. I gradually began to sell candles at local shops and then pop up markets and Etsy, expanding to include room and linen sprays. Four years later, I have yet to host that candle making night. ;)

Today, I am committed to providing beautiful candles and home fragrance alternatives that you can feel good about using in your home.

Here's what's in our candles:

Our soy candles are made with plant-derived soy wax and essential oil infused, clean-safe certified fragrance oils. Our coconut apricot candles are made with a luxe creamy coconut apricot wax which contains a small amount of food grade paraffin for stability purposes. And since nothing says home more than a cozy candle burning, Hudson Willow Home is honored to bring fine fragrance to you with our unique scents and modern designs.
